The common misconception is that you have to be in your skivvies for a boudoir session. I am here to bust that myth wide open.
So what is a boudoir and where did it come from? A boudoir is a woman's private sitting room or salon in a furnished residence, usually between the dining room and the bedroom, but can also refer to a woman's private bedroom.
The term derives from the French verb bouder (to sulk or pout) or adjective boudeur (sulking)—the room was originally a space for sulking in, or one to put away or withdraw to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudoir
However today 2022, boudoir is a necessary self love that everyone should show themselves. It is loving the skin you are in. Loving who you are. It doesn't matter if you are male, female, non binary, gay, lesbian, queer, or trans.
Whether that is posing in a pair of heels and nothing else... putting on some lingerie and strutting your stuff, putting on a form fitting dress, or not so form fitting, wrapping in some sheer fabric, then so be it. But when you can feel sexy in anything you wear and anything you don't...that is freedom. https://www.allyourphotography.com/boudoir-photographer-tyeshia-barnes-boudoir
